RM has been selected for another BSF One-School Pathfinder project. This time with Woodchurch High School in the Wirral.
The contract is likely to be worth more than £1.6m to RM.
As well as Community Connect 4 and ecoquiet computers, Woodchurch High School has opted for products from RM Group companies DACTA, Easytrace, SpaceKraft and Inclusive Technology. Woodchurch High School’s new buildings – fully equipped with ICT – are scheduled to open in September 2010.
Andrew Crick, Deputy Headteacher at the Schools, says:
“Wirral LA and Woodchurch High School are excited to be working with RM on our One-School pathfinder project. We are looking forward to developing with them the use of 21st century ICT in our new visionary school which will be of benefit to all of the school community”
One-School Pathfinder projects are part of the BSF programme and funded from the BSF capital allocation. They are intended to allow Local Authorities in later waves of the BSF programme to identify a single school to rebuild or refurbish ahead of the rest of their estate. This provides the opportunity for Local Authorities to test out their approach to educational transformation, as well as to accelerate the renewal of schools with the most pressing need for change.
